I placed this installation in the Hostages Square to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. I removed the installation after that weekend in respect for the families as this was a very gut wrenching installation. The treatment of the hostages as puppets by Hamas operatives and their sympathizers around the world and the silence in the face of the horrors that the murdered and kidnapped women went through on that terrible day, all because they are Jewish was infuriating. I attached the #MeJew logo as a response to the #MeToo women's movements to protest their hypocrisy regarding the effort to rescue the hostages and their lack of willingness to support or join the fight for their release.
